Sylvan Lake , State Parks and Needles Hiway

Note that the caption indicated state parks and needles hiway.  Alas, we paid our money and then took the right turn into the Park and onto Needles Hiway...only to find out that there was a great big closed gate across the front of the entrance to Needles Hiway.  So, we only got to see part of the park and none of Needles Hiway.  I was sort of annoyed...well, really annoyed that we paid our fee only to be summarily denied access to that for which we paid.  I vowed to write a letter and get my money back.  Probably won't happen.  But still.  The drive up was nice, Sylvan Lake was picturesque and after all, we ended up hungry and ready to head down anyway.
