Summer 2020 Social Distanced Picnic with the Glads

Miracle of miracles, every one of the Glads was available for an evening at the park.

Stuff On Us 2020

Covid made a mess of a bunch of things including a number of parenting strategies...yes, we let Josh put his X box in his room.  When your 11 year old is quarantined for months on end, you start to make some allowances...after all, it wasn't going to interfere with school or camp or sports or really anything cause he wasn't allowed to do any of those things. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Leo is so sweet.  Not always, granted, but mostly, he is SO SWEET!!!

Hike with my guys!!
Josh, Leo and Lanny settled in for another afternoon in quarantine.  2020 was not bad for the pets among us.  If life ever goes back to normal, they are going to have some adjusting to do!!

Other 2020

random summer hail storm

dropped in on the Glads for Maggie's Confirmation (and to see the Burnsville Glad's pupper Joan) and enjoyed Maggie's homemade scones (delicious!)

Jason and Gary do some golfing

I ordered room dividers to round out my basement workspace (which I LOVE!!)
Daniel had his senior pictures done by Uncle Dave and they turned out FABULOUS!!
Macey and Eve get some coaching by Coach Strader

Fall Adventures-Camping at Frontenac State Park

located near Red Wing, MN this was a nice little jaunt from the house-not too far, not just around the corner.  Nice hiking, nice views, good campsite...took Josh and Austin for a quick overnight over Sept 1-2

the boys built the fire both at night and in the morning all by themselves
no rain fly...we wanted to sleep in where we could see the trees and the stars all night long!

and we had a very nice time.  Josh wanted walking tacos so I made the meat ahead of time and we just warmed it up over the fire-worked out great!  Smores later and a great night sleep under the stars.  Thumbs up!

Varsity Tennis Fall 2020

Varsity Tennis Fall 2020

Macey worked her butt off all summer and she made varsity tennis in the fall as a sophomore.  She loves the game and had a great season.  She played third doubles most of the season (once or twice at second doubles) and they did great.  Covid made for some alterations to the normal schedule-no tournaments, no non-local games, no state championship-but for the most part, as tennis is a pretty socially distanced game anyway, things worked out.  Go South!
