 Daniel lettered in band this year!  Pretty cool Daniel!  Now he says he wants a jacket...

 Daniel also competed in the Minnesota State High School League state section music contest and his ensemble won a "Superior" rating which is pretty amazing!  Second year in a row!

 the flowers in my office bloomed...I've had this plant since December 2010 and its never had a single flower on it...it decided to bloom this spring!  I think I must have finally found a location to its liking...

Chicago for Soccer Tournament end of April 2019

Well, the soccer itself was a dud...we got in one game and the rest were snowed out.  Hard to believe based on the weather as we headed up on Friday but the signs on the hiway said it all...and the pictures out the window of our hotel room confirmed the worst.  Snow did indeed come and another tournament weekend bit the dust...2019 Basketball tournament?  snowed out.  2019 soccer tournament?  snowed out.  We fully expect that if Josh goes back to Iowa this fall with football, the 2019 football tournament will also be snowed out... the pitfalls of living in MN in the winter.

 Game early on Saturday morning was brisk but not frigid and there was no sign of snow...was there really a storm coming?  Hard to believe...

 at our post-game lunch the snow started to come down outside...

by the time we headed back to the hotel the storm was there in force... and the view from our hotel window at night shows the several inches of snow that prevented anyone from hitting the soccer pitch!
