My sisters had Halloween in NC too...

The cute little one is my neice Cassidy. Isn't she adorable? The weird scary ones that no one really wants to claim are my sister Carey, my brother-in-law Stephen and my neice Madeline...ok, our costumes look pretty tame compared to theirs! Looks like it was a fun night in North Carolina (um, and stay out of Carrboro if you know what's good for you...)!!!

Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010... D was supposed to be Harry Potter, but ended up being "a Gryffindor person", name unknown....he left his HP glasses at school on Friday so naturally could not be Harry without his glasses...I refused to dye his hair red so he could not be a Weasly, and he scoffed at my suggestion that he be Hermoine...well, ok, so I did not really think he should be Hermoine either. Anyway, he looked adorable and had fun. Macey was a wicked little devil and I just loved her costume...she was allowed to wear makeup and when she saw herself she said "that does not even look like me!" She told one of her friends that we ran into while out trick-or-treating that she had a "whole new face"...cute! I still like my plain ole macey best, but its fun to dress up once in a while!! Josh was a baseball player, half Braves (there you go, PopPop-check out the jersey) and half Twins ('cause after all, J is a Minnesota boy!). He was cute as a button. I ventured into a witches costume which was fun...I have not dressed up in years! Good times were had by all, as was plenty of candy. Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Scary Nights in MN...

Halloween 2010

J on Halloween Night

Josh was not all that sure about Halloween...he liked going up to the doors to get candy, but wanted to be carried...he liked riding around the neighborhood in the wagon, but was a little scared of some of the costumes...he liked the candy, but did not like when we said "enough"...He could not quite manage "Trick or Treat" (he said something, but not that), but was very confident with his "Thank Yous" and "Bye-byes".

Happy Halloween!!

Girls Just Want to Have FUN!!

The Pinata...

SO...I had Macey's whole birthday party planned out. Games, cake & ice cream, mint punch, balloons, the whole nine yards. I even had her present wrapped so it was just a matter of putting the finishing touches on the games and we would be all set. Friday night I am breathing a sigh of relief and congratulating myself on a job well done...and hours before the Saturday party, too...when Macey asks what kind of pinata she is having. Pinata? We talked about her party for weeks and she never mentioned a pinata! So I hedge and say maybe we won't have one this year...to which she replies "what's a party without a pinata?!!?!" Yikes! Off we went to find a pinata! Happy 6th Birthday, baby girl!!
