So Daniel had to spend this morning at the office with me. He had a fever and Jason was out of town; the doctor's office recommended he be seen due to his headache and his complaints that his "eyes hurt" so instead of driving back and forth all day he went with me so I could take him directly to the doctors from work and then home after. I had a crazy day lined up and there was no way I could stay home. In any case, he took a bag of stuff to do and spent the morning sitting in the corner of my office (and venturing down the hall to the vending machine...where did all my change go again?). After a morning of listening to me talk on various calls, run around to meetings and put out fires left and right we had the following exchange:
Daniel: "Mom, I don't understand your job. All you do is talk on the phone and I don't understand any of the words you use."
Me: "I don't understand half of what I say either."

Kate and Rob's Wedding
Josh and I had fun at the wedding. We hung out with family and enjoyed the party. Josh took time out to make coffee for everyone at our table after which he walked around and served it to each person. It was delicious, of course. Josh and Uncle Booper boogied down to the music and Josh also did the ghost dance with Owen by covering up with his blankie and heading out onto the dance floor. The journey from Minnesota to NC via plane followed by a journey up and down the I95 corridor from Raleigh NC to Columbia MD to Pennsylvania back to Maryland and then home again to NC in a day and a half was worth it.
