Josh and Macey
Macey has the same "I'm goofing around and loving life" smile in both pictures-and Josh is enjoying his sister's mirth- I love it!!
Family gathers for Macey in 2005 in Southport, NC for her Baptism and in 2017 for Josh's First Communion

Speaking of Sacraments, the kids on their various baptisms...
Macey
Josh
Daniel
For whatever reason I don't seem to have many pictures of Daniel's baptism. And none of just him in his outfit. Which is sad, because I really loved his outfit! I still have, and intend to keep, all of their baptismal gowns. They all wore different ones, the boys because they were very different sizes when they were baptised and Macey because, well, she was a girl. If I can track some down I'll post pics of my baptism. I'm not sure there are any of Jason's, and he was an older child when he was baptised so there are certainly none of him as a cute baby!

Easter 2017
So they did the Easter egg hunt while I was outside with the dog and we forgot to get pictures in our church clothes...Easter pictures were a bust this year. Oh well.
Easter Eggs 2017
We tried a couple of new things this year...tie-dyed eggs and sponged eggs...we also did the traditional leave-em-in-for-hours approach...doing eggs is always fun!
I saw this idea on facebook and we tried it...it was half successful. The orange dip for the strawberries that was supposed to make them look like carrots was a bust (yes, I should have read the instructions more closely) but the overall effect worked out ok.

Museum of Science and Industry
We've been here before, several years ago over fall break. It was good then; it was still good now. We got tickets to do the mine tour which josh said was his favorite part of the whole trip; we also got tickets to the Lego exhibit which was solid-not drop dead wonderful but worthwhile, especially since one of our intended destinations was Legoland in Schomburg which was a total dud. I thought it was a whole thing; turns out it was like a "th." and not much else. Located in a town commons type store, the Barnes and Noble across the way was bigger than the LegoLand. We got conned. At least I did not buy tickets ahead of time. The lego exhibit at the museum was a nice consolation prize.
the exhibit on climate change was fascinating...and startling. Our current administration could do with a tour-it might help them get over their environmental issues.
The kids loved the make your own wax figure machines all over the museum and we came home with half a dozen different models. We also spent some time (and dough) in the museum shop where Josh found this sabor tooth necklace that he loves.
fog is cool when its inside and forming a fog wall that you have to walk through
fun with shadows
how well can you balance on construction beams?
lego Cinderella's castle...cool
mine kids with their names and other creations-fun in the lego room with the wall of duplos
