D and company at Baseball Game
We try and take the kids to at least one baseball game every season. Fall 2013 I took Daniel and a couple of his buddies to see a game and they had a blast. If I recall, I read my book on my i-phone Nook app for much of the game as frankly, I am not all that into the games. I do enjoy hanging with the kids and watching them enjoy themselves though!!
Daniel the Spaniel
is growing up! He was ten last summer and turned 11 last winter. He is doing all kinds of "growing up" things like staying home alone, biking to baseball practice, mowing the lawn and cooking pancakes! Its so fun for me to watch him grow.
Taylor Swift: After
Just in case I forgot how young they are, this picture reminds me.
It also is a testament to how very much fun we had at the concert!!

Taylor Swift: On our way
I took Macey and our good friend Rylie to see Taylor Swift. Its a toss up who was more excited...me or the girls. I just love her!!
Minecraft
Ok, so this is a shoutout to what Daniel spends a lot of his free time doing. Playing Minecraft. I have to confess I only have the vaguest idea of what this entails other than its a computer game where you use various blocks to build your own houses, buildings, cities, worlds. I believe that you can connect with other players because sometimes there are phone calls where Daniel and a couple of kids are on the speaker phone talking to each other and there's a lot of "no, don't go there" or "give me your fire and I'll get your when I get to blah blah"...it seems like a very fun game.
Fall Baseball with Minnesota Mash
Daniel and Jack played Fall Ball with the Minnesota Mash. It was an instructional league where the kids practiced for an hour and then played for an hour, twice a week. Conveniently they played at Quigley Park so Daniel would get home from school and bike up there; we'd joy them for the games. Jack and Daniel were on two different teams but on these two nights you were bound to run into a cousin, aunt, uncle or Grandpa come to watch one of the Glad boys play. It was a really good experience for Daniel and he got a lot out of it. We enjoyed watching him have fun.
Josh's BooBoo
At the end of last summer Josh mastered the bike ride. For the most part. He could not quite take off on his own, but that only meant I needed to be along ...which I was anyway. Here in May 2014 he figured it all out and can now take off and stop, go up and down hills, you name it, he can do it. He's quite the biker. This one day last fall we were at the park while Macey was having soccer practice nearby. Josh was cruising all around the basketball court with a bunch of other kids on scooters, bikes, rollerblades, etc. Josh cut a corner too tight and BANG, down he went. This knee scrape was one for the records. Poor guy!!
Warrior!!!
It may not appear as traumatic as it was at the time, but this kid was dripping blood from her nose, her lips, her chin...she had a fat lip scrapes from eyes to neck...she was a trooper though and pushed on through!
The Bridge
How can we get across? Walk on the Rocks, of course...Build a bridge...Its too short!!!...Let's make it bigger...All together now!!!
