We may be wearing this boy out with all the fun in his life...

Summer Soccer

And of course we spent hours and hours watching Macey play soccer-go LSC!

Summer 2019 Addition:  whiteboard for recording weekly activity and preview of upcoming events...great addition!

The big D started his first job at Chipotle!  Go Daniel!

Cindy hit Lake Okaboji for Julie's annual girls weekend at the lake...& for a little late celebration of bday!

 summer lunch at noodles...

kids and their dogs have some fun in the front yard

critters in the neighborhood...big white heron; little tiny groundhog
family gathers in the DanCave during a summer storm...

Cindy and Jason host friends for dinner and then head out to Bingo for some fun

Oscar's anyone?

Macey performed in the jazz band and the 8th grade band.  She won an award and along with her friends Charlotte and Leah was the announcer for all of the tunes, cheesy Oscar worthy jokes included.  Great music and wonderful tribute from our own Mrs. Shea who we love so much!

Summer Visit with the Lehrfelds

We went out to eat at the Melting Pot to celebrate Jeff's and my birthdays!
I got to meet Onxy and Izzie.  I didn't get to know Onyx very well he was a little skittish with me and any time I tried to make friends Izzy had to get in the middle.  Izzie has the cutest little tufts of hair sticking up from her ears-they make this dog irresistible!
We watched Tyler's baseball game...for an outfielder, he got a lot of action this game!  He looks good out there!  Kim said that this is the first year when she doesn't hold her breathe when a fly ball heads his way-she knows he will catch it.  I guess that day is coming for me with Josh...  :  )
We stopped at this BBQ joint and it was the most perfect NC bbq sandwich I think that I have ever had (even though we were in Maryland..or maybe Virginia?)...bbq w/slaw...to die for.  Can't describe this southern goodness!

Summer Kayaking in Maryland

Kim found a great place for us to go kayaking while I was visiting.  At Mallows Bay many ships have been sunk, some after their useful lives were over, some because they were never commissioned at all.  We took the wide route and saw much more the bay than is encompassed in the maps below.  I'm not a kayaking aficionado like Kim but I had a really great time-worth the trip!

 kayaking fun!

eagle on the end of a dead tree...at the tide went out, more and more sunken boats were revealed
we paddled into a hidden cove and discovered a neat sunken ship which has been overtaken by the wildlife
So we came across these really big creepy looking fish on our adventures...long nosed pike?  Who knows!
