Museum of Science and Industry

We've been here before, several years ago over fall break.  It was good then; it was still good now.  We got tickets to do the mine tour which josh said was his favorite part of the whole trip; we also got tickets to the Lego exhibit which was solid-not drop dead wonderful but worthwhile, especially since one of our intended destinations was Legoland in Schomburg which was a total dud.  I thought it was a whole thing; turns out it was like a "th." and not much else.  Located in a town commons type store, the Barnes and Noble across the way was bigger than the LegoLand.  We got conned.  At least I did not buy tickets ahead of time.  The lego exhibit at the museum was a nice consolation prize.
the exhibit on climate change was fascinating...and startling.  Our current administration could do with a tour-it might help them get over their environmental issues.
The kids loved the make your own wax figure machines all over the museum and we came home with half a dozen different models.  We also spent some time (and dough) in the museum shop where Josh found this sabor tooth necklace that he loves.
