We got there, tossed in the line, and I reeled in a fish. I laughed and laughed and could not stop. I mean, honestly, I did NOT expect to catch anything. I was just being a trooper and going along for the ride because I like to be supportive of my kids. I had no idea we would actually catch anything. I had told Daniel he would have to take the fish off the hook, which is not really something that I think a 10 year old should be doing. But, since we caught a fish right away he took the darn thing off all by himself and there you go...Fun times. I love being a mom.

Quick Bites to Round out the Year
This was an unpublished post from late 2011. I can't backpost so the only options are to delete or include here. So, June 2013, here you go...flashback post.
Josh-Nearly 3, talking up a storm, being stubborn, loves cars and trucks, has decided mom's bed is the place to be every night around 4 am, says he does not want to go to school in the morning but really loves it, is writing his name and if you are very creative in your interpretation you can even read it, still cries at haircuts (we think more because he thinks he is supposed to than because he is really scared) and just plain adorable.

Macey-7 years old in the first grade, annoyed that every time she moves up a reading level the kids in that level move up too so she never can catch those two, is loving logic leapers and thinks she is pretty cool to be in the "good" math group, is very responsible to the point where we have to remind her that Josh has a enough trouble with two parents, he does not need a third one, loves horses, soccer and her big brother, a good little helper, bit of a drama queen but not too bad, likes basketball "ok" and can't wait to grow up (we wish she would slow down a bit).
Daniel- 9 years old, third grade, smart as a whip and is working on being "responsible", is excited to be able to stay at home alone while I walk the dog with the other two kids, thinks he should be left alone for real sometime (not likely), hates to get his nails clipped (seriously?), loves baseball, legos and any video game, has discovered youtube videos and thinks its fun to watch someone else play video games on there.
