Mesa Verde
The dramatic descent aside, Mesa Verde was cool and worth visiting. The Cliff Dwellings are truly mysterious and awe inspiring even from a distance away. The first time you see one is startling-you truly can imagine people walking around and living their lives there. Its a little surreal.

Notice the beautiful sun and non-threatening clouds? I swear this is ten minutes before the world turned white and scary. So weird.
