Macey's busy social calendar included a sleepover right after school got out in June

Fishing Again

So we spent a lot of time fishing this summer.  Often, just me and Daniel.  Sometimes, the whole gang was along.  This particular trip, Daniel and I had gone a couple of days before and scouted out a place along the Mississippi River that we thought would be good fishing.  We came back this morning to see if we were right.  Unfortunately, we got out there and it started drizzling.  We figured we try anyway.  By the time we were well set up and casting our first lines, it was poaring in earnest.  We ended up sprinting back to the car, soaked and cold and headed home, our venture aborted.  We'll try this spot again some time.

Its bedtime...but where is Mom supposed to sleep????

Summer Creations

Macey got into rocks...making rocks into things, that is.  I was super impressed with her creativity...I don't really have a create bone in my body so to see her be able to see a rock and visualize what it could turn into...that's quite a feat.  And in the middle there is Josh with his own creation...not sure exactly what it is, but he had fun making it and "being" it all day.

Summer Cookies

This kids made cookies...yum!

What Josh does during all this baseball and soccer for his big siblings...

He finds some friends and they play...they do soccer, football, baseball, tag....you name it, they played it...depending on the day, the younger siblings could be playing just about anything.

D Spring Baseball

Daniel played spring baseball.  At this age they still rotate through all the positions.  He enjoyed this team but wants to do traveling in the spring.  We'll see...traveling baseball is quite the committment.
