Kids at the Dells
We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. I recommend it. The room was good, the in-resort restaurant was good, the pina colada I had was GREAT, they do a story time at 8:15 and the indoor waterpark was quite large. Josh loved the wave pool, Daniel hated the tornado and Macey was game for anything. I think three days, two nights was plenty for us but it was definatly worth doing and I think we'd consider going back again sometime.
Train to Wisconsin Dells
The kids an I took the train to Wisconsin Dells and Jason drove up to meet us. He was returning from Las Vegas for his annual March Madness trip and it seemed like a good plan. We liked the train, loved the views of the river and all the eagles flying around the edge of the ice and the bathrooms were a very exciting highlight of the train trip. All three kids fell asleep about 15 minutes before our arrival in Wisconsin Dells-go figure. We had quite the adventure once we arrived because we had to catch a cab and they only took cash. Naturally I had no cash (read: NONE) and the cash machine at the St. Paul train station was out of order, there was no machine at the one in Wis Dells, and so we asked our cabbie to take a detour to a bank and a cash machine. He was game. When I had to get out of the car to go to the machine, I dragged all three kids with me, telling the cabbie that he could have our baggage but I was going to keep the kids with me. He thought it was funny. There was also this half crazy other cab lady who was very concerned that we find a cash machine who followed our cab to the bank to make sure we were all good. We felt very well taken care of!
