and more...note the resemblance to D, minus the swirl...

Now he's in my arms (the wole crib thing does not last very long at this stage).

Day 3

OK, no gory details in this entry, but JW is hanging out in his crib for a few minutes while I put some pictures up. I'll update with some text later when I have more time but I know everyone wants to see pictures, so here goes!

Update

So its Wednesday, January 21, 2009 and the countdown is officially on. We have been scheduled for an induction on Friday, January 23. Here's the drill: We call over to the hospital at 5:00 am to make sure they still have room for us. As long as there has not been some crazy influx of delivering moms during the night, they give us the green light and we head to the hospital. We are supposed to arrive at 6:00 am (I can already tell you we are behind schedule and its still two days away...6:00 am? are they serious?). My doctor predicts this is going to go fast, but there of course are no guarantees. My Mom is flying in Friday morning and should be at the hospital by 11:00...will there be a baby there to great her, or will she have to wait it out in the waiting room? Obviously to be determined...

The kids are very excited; D is off of school on Friday so if the baby comes early enough in the day we'll have them come and visit their new sibling right away. D keeps telling the baby how long until s/he comes out...its adorable. They are still torn on whether they want a brother or a sister...it seems to change by the day.

The baby's room is finally finished...we had to pick up a part for the crib but J bought it yesturday and we finished putting the last part on last night. So now we are really ready...

Nothing else to report...check back for updates on Friday and pictures as soon as we get home. If we can find wi-fi at the hospital we'll try and send some right away, otherwise it'll wait until we come home, likely on Sunday.

Family Matters

Here are a few of us and ours...one great family one with a little Maggie tossed in for good measure!

Concentration

The kids all got a The Twelve Days of Christmas coloring book with sets of markers, and here they are all engrossed in coloring...who knew 4 kids between 2 and 6 could all be so inspired at the same time?
