He's officially a college student, dorm room keys and all!!  Look at that smile!!

The dorm was exactly as you would expect...crazy waits for elevator, lots of nervous parents and kids, lots of boxes, plenty of just plain "stuff", overfull dumpsters, frazzled RAs...yup, that was the day.

I adventured to Sand Key Park one morning...no one else from my crew was interested; no one else from Florida was even there-I had the place to myself.

 

Fall 2021: Daniel Leaves for College

Its Thursday night and we leave Saturday...this is all that is packed (ie, nothing).

Goodbye Holden!  Next time we see you, you will both be college kids!!

Jason and Daniel went to one last Mystic Bingo before Daniel left for school...and I tagged along.

Progress was made...lots of stuff to put into the minivan to drive down to Florida!!

And we are off!  College Kid #1, here we come!!

Arrived!  USF campus the night before move-in day...so exciting!!!

 

Misc

Of the seeming millions of medicinal options to "inherit" from my mom, the Glads took the Rolaids.  They came in handy.  :  )

July 2021 was hard.  Very very hard.  On the heals of losing my mom, we faced the prospect of losing our nephew to a brain tumor.  At the end of the day, he went home after about 5 days in hospital to complete what ended up being a full recovery.  Thank goodness for 21st Century medicine.  Watching Kim and Jeff go through this was so difficult-they are rock stars.

Misc Summer 2021

OCC pool for the summer...we had some great afternoons at the pool this summer!

Macey and I got new Birkenstocks this summer.  Love 'em!

It was just a mediocre garden this year...still had some decent veggies.
