Santa Claus Came!!!

It took two mantels to hang all of the stockings.  Thank goodness Cathy and Gene have a fireplace in every room of their house!

Christmas 2013 in NC

We headed East for Christmas this year.  It was a whirlwind vacation...an all-nighter straight through to arrive Saturday night at 8:00 at Carey's ... a couple of days just hanging out and finishing up our shopping, one trip to the movie theatre to see The Hobbit or Frozen, depending on your appetite for middle Earth and/or princesses, a campout in Madeline's backyard under the stars (or under the rain, if you were Macey) and play, play, play.  All the Jefferson cousins were there and they played their little hearts out.  On Christmas Eve we went to Grandmom and Steven's for soup and sandwiches then took a tour around Chapel Hill to see the light.  Note the lack of an (s)...yes, that was on purpose...the lights were kinda lame this year.  There were a few highlights, including the trailer park where we took a quick turn (and I do mean quick...this was a very small park) to see the lights there at the tail end of our adventure.  Then we headed up to Cathy and Gene's to spend Christmas Night and wait for Santa Claus!  He brought our pjs to Cathy's which was very kind of him...the girl cousins all had matching pjs, the big boys had matches and the little boys had matches...adorable!
