Cozy Time

Macey and Josh have turned into real buddies these days. She has discovered the beauty of having someone smaller than her that will do things that she suggests. Its very fun to watch.

Jason: Referee Extraordinaire!!

OK, so I admit, I had to check the spelling of extraordinaire...but he really is! Jason refereed high school football in Northern Virginia for a few years, took a couple of years off when we moved here, and has been refereeing with a crew here for the past few seasons. He really loves it and we try to make it to a game or two each season. This year his crew was selected to referree one of the high school championship games which is a real honor. The game was at the Metrodome so we trooped all the way down to Minneapolis to watch our guy! It was fun for all of us. Here are some pictures from the big night. Enjoy!!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

It was a recordbreaking December in Minnesota. With over 34 inches, we beat the all time record. Delightful. Oddly enough, it just so happened I was out of town for most of December and missed all of the big storms. Yeah for me! While the Metrodome may never recover, we dug out with some help from our babysitter one weekend, our terrific neighbors a different weekend and a hired truck another time (best $40 we ever spent)!!! While in NC over New Years where there was no snow and the temp topped 50 nearly every day Daniel wondered a) why we don't live there and b) whether those kids even had snowpants. I told him a) mwhen he grows up he can go to college in Chapel Hill and then he can have that weather all winter if he wants and b) no, those kids don't have snowpants. I myself never heard of the things until we lived here and my kids needed them to go outside for several months of the year.

Homemade Nativity Scenes

Inspired by Daniel's adventure at church, Macey and Josh enacted their own nativity scene at home with Macey as Mary and Joshua as the Baby Jesus.
