D's first season of baseball has been really fun. He's learned a lot and discovered a love of the game. Never having played myself, I am learning a lot too...for instance, for any given hit, there seems to be a particular place where the defenders are supposed to throw the ball...there is some value to having a third base coach...and kids love snack (a universal truth not isolated to the sport of baseball).
