Its hard to describe the atmosphere this summer as Election Day closed in. The President tanks in a debate and ultimately withdraws, endorsing his VP. The Convention was a masterful exercise in energy and enthusiasm-I was glued to the TV. The choice of Walz was inspired; Minnesota offered up its best. Knowing how it ended up, I look back fondly on the good feelings from last summer. After the crazy of his last term, I find it devastating that this country re-elected that man. Its just-hard to believe. They are on the wrong side of history here and so many are going to suffer because of it. But, we carry on.
