Our pug, Griffey, died on September 16. He was good pug. We was almost 12 years old and had been a part of our family since he was 6 weeks old. We miss the little guy, though I think out other pug Mulligan has discovered the joy of being in a one-dog family. These pictures are of the kids saying goodbye to him his last morning at home. In the months leading up to his death he had something of a second wind and even though he was old, mostly blind, mostly deaf, and somewhat incontinent he had a really good summer. We were worried about how he was going to do this winter, as he never did grow to like the snow (who does?) and he had a hard time with the steps going in and out of the house which the ice and cold makes harder to deal with. In September what we thought was another one of his recurring bladder infections turned out to be diabetes, with neuralpathy in his back legs. He lived a good life and is now keeping PopPop company in heaven.
