Navy Pier ...

...where the taxis are! We spent the day at the Natural History Museum and the Planetarium and thought it would be easy enough to catch a cab back to the train station. What were we thinking? After waiting about 45 minutes for a cab and only about 5 cabs had come...while there were still 20 people in front of us...we decided to just start walking and see what would happen. So we walked ...and walked....and walked. The kids were troopers and there was minimal whining (not none, but close to none) and considering we'd been up since the early morning and had explored two museums and then walked about 3 miles along the shores of Lake Michigan from the Planetarium all the way to Navy Pier we were pretty impressed with them. These are some terrific kids! These were some neat statues just outside of Navy Pier where we stopped before we went into to see what Navy Pier was all about.
